Families Helping Families NOLA offers core services, programs, and resources for individuals with disabilities and their families in Orleans, Plaquemines, and St. Bernard Parishes.

Families Helping Families NOLA’s (FHF NOLA) mission is to educate and empower individuals with disabilities, their families, and the community by providing programming, resources, training, and family-to-family support.

Core Services

Information & Resources

FHF NOLA provides access to an array of information and resources for any person with a disability. Our resources include evaluations, medical services, information on Medicare and Medicaid, and crisis intervention. We provide free educational materials and publications through our Lending Library, as well as access to disability-friendly applications.

Education and Training

We provide training and educational services on critical topics to help children and adults with disabilities, including workshops on caregivers, transition, education, Individualized Education Plans (IEP), 504Plans, school and family partnerships, healthcare, advocacy and more.

Peer-to-Peer Results

The FHF NOLA family understands first-hand the needs, challenges, and opportunities for children and adults with disabilities. We are advocates who can assist in all facets of daily life. We provide continuous information, guidance, and support from parents, siblings, and self-advocates.
